The New Englanders are on lunch break ordering sandwiches, standing back from the counter.
“Are you in line?”
“Are you, ma’am?”
“Excuse me, are you in line?”
What it adds in confusion, it makes up for in respect. If only the lunch hour were longer, the New Englanders can get pretty hungry.
“You go ahead.”
“No, no, you.”
“Are you in line?”
